The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) is delighted to host the 30th East Asian Insurance Congress (EAIC) in Hong Kong in September 2024. This marks the third occasion that Hong Kong has been chosen as the host city for this prestigious event, and the HKFI takes immense pride in organising it once again.

The four-day congress will bring together insurers, reinsurers, experts as well as insurance young talents from the region and around the world to share their perspectives on current issues and provide insights into the challenges faced by the insurance sector. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to network, strengthen business partnerships, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Hong Kong. The EAIC 2024 Hong Kong Conference will feature a captivating 'movie theme' and various activities to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience.

We look forward to your support to make EAIC 2024 Hong Kong Conference a remarkable event!

About HKFI

The HKFI was established on 8 August 1988 to advance and promote the development of the insurance business in Hong Kong. Following its conversion to a limited company in 1994, the HKFI became a consolidated and streamlined organisation that enjoys full recognition by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the representative body of an increasingly important industry.

While maintaining a frequent dialogue with the Insurance Authority on legislative issues affecting the industry, the HKFI actively promotes best market practices with an aim of improving the professionalism of and strengthening public confidence in the insurance industry.

The HKFI exists to promote insurance and help develop the industry for the benefit of the people and the economy of Hong Kong. To achieve this, the HKFI will:

  • Be a progressive voice of the industry and help build Hong Kong into a leading insurance hub in Asia Pacific.
  • Represent the common interests of its Members and proactively engage key regulators and stakeholders.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices and the highest professional standards across the insurance sector.
  • Promote the proper protection of consumers to foster public trust and confidence in our industry.
  • Raise public awareness of the value and benefits of insurance.
  • Strengthen professional training across the industry and promote insurance as a career of choice.
